This is the main page. For the full compound index see Contents; for terminology see Glossary.

PeptidePlaza is an educational reference. It does not sell peptides, recommend suppliers, or provide medical advice. It lists no suppliers or clinics and carries no advertising.

PeptidePlaza is a free online reference for peptide research — an open encyclopedia of compound profiles and sourced studies. It currently documents 129 compounds across 5 categories. Every factual claim on the site carries a citation to a primary source such as PubMed, PubChem, or the FDA.

The name reflects the core idea: the peptide bond is what links amino acids into a peptide — and a citation is what links a claim to the evidence behind it. Compound entries cover mechanism, sequence, CAS number, half-life, and regulatory status; see Semaglutide for a representative article.

[about]1 Overview

PeptidePlaza organises peptide research into two parts: compound profiles (mechanism, sequence, CAS number, and regulatory status), and studies (peer-reviewed research linked from every profile).

1.2 Sourcing and citations

Claims about mechanism, dosing, and safety are attributed to published literature and linked inline. Chemical identifiers are taken from PubChem; regulatory status from the relevant agency. Where evidence is limited or preclinical only, entries say so rather than filling the gap. The full policy is set out in Editorial standards.

CompoundCategoryStatusSummary
SemaglutideMetabolicFDA ApprovedA long-acting GLP-1 analog distinguished by its C18 fatty diacid chain, enabling albumin binding and a half-life of ~7 days. One of the most clinically studied peptides in modern metabolic research.
TirzepatideMetabolicFDA ApprovedA 39-amino acid synthetic peptide that simultaneously activates GIP and GLP-1 receptors. Demonstrated greater weight loss than any approved single-agonist in clinical trials.
RetatrutideMetabolicPhase 3A novel triple receptor agonist targeting GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors simultaneously — the first of its kind in human Phase 2 trials. Early data suggests it may surpass dual agonists.
MOTS-cMetabolicInvestigationalA 16-amino acid peptide encoded within the mitochondrial genome — a newly discovered class of signaling molecule. Regulates metabolic homeostasis via AMPK and FOXO1 pathways.
